Iran on new voyage of discovery
By Kaveh L Afrasiabi“The Americans try hard to not be the target of these huge popular uprisings, but will fail because people have realized that the policies of Americans and their cronies are the causes of humiliation and division among nations. As a result, the key to resolving people’s problems rests on ending America’s arrangement in the region.”
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei

Bahrain—Electing A New People…And Shooting The Old One
By Steve Sailer

The unprovoked killing by government forces of five Shi’ite protestors in the Persian Gulf statelet of Bahrain, headquarters for the U.S. Fifth Fleet, turns out upon examination to be deeply intertwined with Bahrain’s troubles with diversity and immigration.

And they turn out to be uncomfortably not completely dissimilar to ours.

CASMII is an independent campaign organisation with the purpose of opposing sanctions, foreign state interference and military intervention in Iran

About CASMII

auf Deutsch francais

Mission Statement

CASMII is an independent campaign organisation with the purpose of opposing sanctions, foreign state interference and military intervention in Iran.

Statement of Purpose

The on-going demonization of Iran as part of the “axis of evil” first initiated by George W. Bush’s 2002 State of the Union Speech, together with the more recent, growing threats of sanctions and military action by the US and Israel against Iran, all continue to seriously escalate international tension.

They are likely to lead to a catastrophe even more horrifying than the present disaster in Iraq, threatening international peace and security. The future of Iran, and its political system and leadership, must be determined solely by the collective will of the Iranian people themselves and not through foreign state interference or intervention.

Increasing international tensions and conflict are destructive to the causes of peace, justice and democracy. We appeal to people of all faiths as well as to people with a secular outlook and those of all political and ideological persuasions, to join us in building an effective international campaign for peace and dialogue, and against sanctions, foreign state interference, destabilization and military intervention in Iran.

The ‘Real Jew’ Debate

Posted by alanmirs on December 12, 2010

To oppose the continued expansion of settlements in the West Bank (“Zionists are not settlers”), or question growing anti-Arab bigotry as personified by Israel’s rightist foreign minister and illustrated by the “loyalty oath” debate, or ask whether the “de-legitimization” of Israel might not have something to do with its own actions is to incur these organizations’ steady ire.

TEHRAN, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) — Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said Saturday a cooperative approach can facilitate the negotiations between Iran and the G5+1.

He stressed during a press conference the world powers should never expect nuclear concessions from Tehran because the Iranian government will never give up the country’s nuclear rights, saying “they should not expect anyone to retreat from the Iranian nation’ s rights in future struggles.”

More desperate and useless moves. Does anyone think straight in the Obama administration to know that these silly short-term moves are just like releasing mosquitoes. Is there anyone who wants to resolve the issues, whatever they might be in the wild imagination of Washington bureaucrats?

The United States has been defending its human rights record before the Geneva-based United Nations Human Rights Council.

A 30-strong US delegation was grilled by more than 80 states on issues ranging from the Guantanamo detention centre to racial discrimination. Switzerland called for a moratorium on executions with a view to abolishing the death penalty.
The US was the 136th UN member state to be scrutinised by allies and adversaries in the UN rights body, as the Obama administration opens itself up to a council that was shunned by his predecessor.

US Assistant Secretary of State Esther Brimmer, head of the high-level delegation, said she was honoured to present the first US Universal Periodic Review (UPR).

“We take our place in the UPR process with pride in our accomplishments, honesty in facing continued challenges, and a commitment to using the international system to elevate and advance the protection of human rights at home and abroad,” she told the packed meeting room in Geneva.

Cuba, Venezuela, Russia and Iran, some of the US’s fiercest critics, were among the first to speak during the three-hour meeting.

    My Father

Posted by alanmirs on March 16, 2006

By his intellect and political views, well known inside and out side of Iran was my father.

He was self educated person who learned by seeking knowledge from scalars like his father and for generations all our scalars were educated like he was.

This was the system which one need not have to have family connections or money to receive education, but one to be given education had to lose the interest of receiving financial rewards for what was lectured or taught, and learns for the sake of learning and helping others to learn.

My father changed long tradition of the world’s history.
He did not praise any king or a queen but he spent years to create a myth
called “Maaddeh Tarikh” which by calculating the letters of each verse you
arrive at a number representing a date, (each letter of Farsi represents a
number as Alef, Beh, Jim for 1, 2, 3 and Heh as 10 and so on) which he
related that to the date of a birth or an event.
This how ever I found the poem he presented to the last shah of Iran which I
believe it was placed on his desk and am investigating to find and have it
    placed in a museum.
The one which was presented to the British royal family had some verses from
QURAN he has used to represent the dates of birth and events; I would love
to be able to locate it and have a copy of it.
I am communicating with the British embassy in Tehran to get some
information about the matter and if you have or know some one who has any
information please acquire it and send it to me.
I also found another verse of him dated 1944 expanding the profit’s
“Hasratteh Mohammad” verse and if you can have it translated to English it
    is about the freedom.
